
Andrew Hunter, Group Lead Volunteer
The Scout Group is an autonomous organisation holding its property and equipment and admitting young people to membership subject to the policy and rules of the Scout Association. It is led by the Group Lead Volunteer and managed by a Trustee Board who are responsible for the satisfactory running of the Group.
The Trustee Board focuses on good charity governance. Its responsibilities include:
- Managing the Group's finance
- Ensuring the Group follows Scout Association policies and relevant legislation
- Looking after the Group's property and equipment
- Managing risks
- Help the charity to operate well, today and in the future
The Scout Group is an educational charity. Members of the Trustee Board are the charity trustees of the Scout Group.
